LAKEWOOD, Colo. --- The New Mexico Highlands men's basketball team had its eight-game winning streak snapped by Colorado Christian 76-64 Saturday night at the CCU Event Center.
The Cowboys are now in a tie for the eighth and final RMAC Tournament playoff spot with Westminster - but own the head-to-head tiebreaker with the Griffins.
On Saturday, the Cowboys struggled from the field - shooting just 28.6 percent, including 7-for-31 (22.6 percent) from 3-point range.
Sammy Barnes-Thompkins led the team with 21 points,
Marcus Brown had 13 points and six rebounds,
Desmond Carpenter had 10 points, four rebounds and four assists and
Andre Adams had six points, 14 rebounds, five blocks and three steals.
The Cowboys return to action Tuesday at UCCS.
