LAS VEGAS, N.M. ---Â The New Mexico Highlands men's basketball team looks to secure a spot in the RMAC Tournament with a win 4 p.m. Saturday at home against South Dakota on Senior Day at Wilson Complex.
The Cowboys are No. 7 in the latest RMAC RPI standings at 11.62 - just ahead of MSU Denver (11.55). Westminster is at 11.1 and sitting as the first team out in the No. 9 spot.
The Cowboys will also celebrate senior night for six players:
Andre Adams,
Sammy Barnes-Thompkins,
Marcus Brown,
Desmond Carpenter,
Darius Harrison and
Bryce Sanchious.

COWBOYS HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
NMHU is coming off a key road win at UCCS on Tuesday, 100-96.
Andre Adams had 27 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, three assists and a block,
Sammy Barnes-Thompkins had 27 points and seven assists and
Desmond Carpenter finished with 23 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Barnes-Thompkins leads the team in scoring (19.8) and assists (3.4) while adding 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. Carpenter is averaging 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.6 steals,
Marcus Brown is averaging 13.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals while Adams is averaging 11.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per contest.
SOUTH DAKOTA MINES HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Hardrockers are coming off an 80-61 loss at UCCS on Thursday - getting a team-high 18 points and eight rebounds from Alejandro Rama.
Brevin Walter leads the team in scoring at 16.4 points per game while adding 4.4 rebounds per contest. Rama is averaging 15.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 43.8 percent from 3-point range. Kolten Mortensen is averaging 14.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and is shooting 44.1 percent from 3-point range.
