Slow Start for the Cowgirls in Exhibition

Las Cruces, NM – The Cowgirls fall to the New Mexico State Aggies in the exhibition opener.
 
Saturday 08.13.22 at NMSU Soccer Complex.

1:00pm — A quick start for the Aggies set the pace for a dominant win by NMSU in exhibition play. A goal by Chacon at 00:12 was not the start that NMHU wanted as they were trying to iron out some wrinkles of a new back line.
Melissa Olivares said when asked how the game went "Our game could have gone better. We had good hustle. It's not ideally what we wanted but we worked as a team and I liked our problem solving in the second half. I'm looking forward to progressing together as a team and seeing how we develop."
 
 The offensive onslaught from NMSU allowed the Cowgirls to work on multiple looks defensively and approach different traps.

Gillyann Granados  — Grandos recorded a yellow card at 82:50.
 
Alumni v Alumni — The Cowgirls host their Alumni game on Saturday the 20th at NMHU Soccer Complex.
