Alamosa, Colorado - The New Mexico Highlands volleyball team fell to Adams State 3-0 this evening in Alamosa. Tonight's match was part of the RMAC's Power Pod weekend. With the loss NMHU is 3-20 overall while Adams State improves to 6-15, this weekend's matches do not count towards conference standings.
Angelina Burton led the Cowgirls with eight kills while
Ashleigh Meyer had 16 assists and
Abby Carlsen added a pair of service aces.
Layla Hooks Paced NMHU with three blocks and
Sophia Hendricks-Montes had a match-high 12 digs.
The Cowgirls play Chadron State College in the second match of the weekend on Friday. Match time at Plachy Hall in Alamosa is set for 6:00 pm.
