Alamosa, Colorado - Chadron State handed New Mexico Highlands a 3-1 setback Friday evening in a match played at Adams State College. NMHU falls to 3-20 with the loss while Chadron State improves to 12-9. This weekend's matches are part of the RMAC Power Pod weekend and do not count in the conference standings.
Amirah Young recorded 14 kills to lead the Cowgirls while
Ashleigh Meyer had 20 assists in the match.
Layla Hooks had a pair of service aces.
Defensively,
Jaylee Gonzales led with a season-high 16 digs and Hooks recorded five blocks.
The Cowgirls have home matches next Friday and Saturday as the host Colorado Mesa and Westminster. Friday's match begins at 6:00 pm while Saturday's start time is 11:00 am.
