Las Vegas, New Mexico - The New Mexico Highlands soccer team is in Las Vegas for a pair of matches this weekend. On Friday afternoon the Cowgirls host nationally ranked University of Colorado - Colorado Springs at 3:00 pm. Then on Sunday afternoon Colorado State University - Pueblo is in town for Senior Day, that match will get under way at 1:00 pm.
UCCS is ranked 25th in the most recent NCAA Division II poll by the United Soccer Coaches. The Mountain Lions enter Friday's match with an overall record of 9-3-3 and 7-1-1 in the RMAC. Friday's match will mark the 20th meeting all-time between the two teams with UCCS holding a 13-6 edge in the series history.
On Sunday afternoon CSU-Pueblo brings an overall record of 6-3-6 and a 4-1-5 conference record to Las Vegas. The Thunderwolves and Cowgirls have played 24 previous matches and have a series record of 12-12.
Sunday marks the final home match of the 2023 season for NMHU. The team will honor the seniors on the roster as part of the day''s activities.
