Las Vegas, New Mexico - Nationally ranked University of Colorado - Colorado Springs defeated New Mexico Highlands 2-0. The loss dropped the Cowgirls' record to 0-12-2 overall and 0-9-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. UCCS is now 10-3-3 overall and 8-1-1 in the conference.

UCCS scored late in the first half to take a 1-0 lead to the intermission and added another goal less than three minutes into the second half to provide the margin of victory in the match.

Freshman Peyton Greener was credited with 12 saves in the match that kept the Cowgirls within striking distance of the Mountain Lions.

New Mexico Highlands will host Colorado State University-Pueblo on Sunday afternoon for Senior Day. Match time at Sanchez Family Stadium is at 1:00 pm.
