Denver, Colorado - Metropolitan State University - Denver defeated New Mexico Highlands 3-0 Friday evening at the Auraria Events Center. The Cowgirls fall to 1-15 overall and 0-7 in the RMAC. MSU-Denver, ranked 7th in this week's AVCA Division II Poll, improves to 12-3 overall and 5-0 in conference play.
Offensively,
Seraiah Morgan led the Cowgirls with six kills this evening.
Angelina Burton and
Jaylee Gonzales added four and three kills respectively.
Megan Waghorn recorded eight assists in the match.
Defensively,
Aziza Morris had seven digs and
Jada Lawson led the team with three blocks.
The Cowgirls play at the Colorado School of Mines tomorrow evening in Golden. Match time at Lockridge Arena is 5:00 pm.
