Portales, New Mexico - The New Mexico Highlands men's basketball team opened the 2023-24 season by dropping a 102-75 decision to Eastern New Mexico on Friday night at the South Central Region Crossover.
Junior
AC Curry paced the Cowboys with 13 points, including a 3-6 effort from beyond the three-point arc, Friday. Junior
Aahmod Scarbrough added 11 points.
Senior
Ezichi Kalu recorded 10 rebounds for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys shot 41% from the floor and 60% from the free throw line Friday. They out rebounded the Greyhounds 41-37.
The Cowboys are right back in action tomorrow afternoon as they play 19th ranked Angelo State University in Portales. Tip-Off is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
