Cowgirls Split Games With Chadron

Las Vegas, NM- The Cowgirls split their games Saturday against Chadron State. Game one was all cowgirls but game two was all eagles. Both games were seemingly lopsided which should allow for an entertaining day tomorrow.

Game 1- Started off all Cowgirls and finished all Cowgirls. The Cowgirls managed to connect on defense and offense for the entirety of this matchup. The Cowgirls had their bats hot all game as they managed to score 8 runs. 7 different Cowgirls recorded hits and 4 cowgirls each had multiple hits. The Eagles scored 3 runs, however, 2 of those runs came off 2 separate home runs both by Lauren Zimmerman. Outside of those flashes, Chadron was unable to produce against pitcher Maya Milano and the Cowgirl's defense. Even after getting hits, Chadron was unable to get their batters to home plate.

Game 2- The Eagles managed to catch their Rhythm after losing game 1 and came out swinging much more aggressively. Chadron piled on 3 runs early forcing the Cowgirls to find success at bat. Hits were much harder to come by in game 2 as Chadron's Delaney Farnsworth caused a shake up. The Cowgirls are a momentum driven team and the struggle to get hits were impacting the game throughout.

Las Vegas, NM- Another doubleheader between the Cowgirls and Eagles starting at 11 AM.  Expect two unpredictable games tomorrow as today's games provided two lopsided outcomes. The Cowgirls have been dragging their opponents into deep waters as they continue shocking the RMAC competition with their resiliency.
