Cowboys Lose in Shootout

In a high-scoring and action-packed baseball game between the Rangers of Regis and the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys, the Rangers emerged as the winners with a final score of 12-8. The game, which took place on April 21st, 2023, at Brandt Field, saw both teams put on a strong display of hitting, but it was the Rangers who managed to maintain their momentum and come out on top.

The Rangers started the game strong, with Padilla hitting a two-RBI single to bring in Marlow and Fullerton in the first inning. However, the Cowboys quickly responded, with Admire scoring on a double by Lehman, followed by a two-RBI single from Pacheco to put the Cowboys in the lead at 3-2.

The Rangers came back with a vengeance in the third inning, with Padilla hitting a three-run homer to bring in Cicini, Marlow, and himself, putting the Rangers up 5-3. However, the Cowboys responded with a three-run homer of their own from Lehman, bringing in Ferreira and tying the game at 5-5. The Cowboys then took the lead in the same inning with an RBI by Pacheco, bringing in Sato and making the score 6-5.

The Rangers didn't give up, though, and fought back with a run in the fourth inning from Hamilton's sacrifice fly, tying the game at 6-6. They then took the lead with a two-RBI inside-the-park homer from Fullerton in the same inning, bringing in Daudet and making the score 8-6.

The Cowboys came back again in the sixth inning, with Admire bringing in Munoz with a double, followed by Ferreira's RBI single to tie the game at 8-8. However, the Rangers took the lead in the seventh inning, with Cicini scoring on Lagatta's fly out, followed by a two-RBI double from Hamilton to bring in Chase and Padilla, making the score 11-8. Daudet then hit an RBI single to bring in Hamilton, sealing the victory for the Rangers with a final score of 12-8.
