Cowgirls drop 2 in Denver vs Regis

The Regis Rangers swept the doubleheader against the New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls, winning the first game 3-0 and the second game 5-4.

In the first game, the Rangers' pitching and defense proved to be too much for the Cowgirls. The Rangers' pitcher, Kylie Harpman, threw a complete game shutout, allowing only 1 hit in the first game.

The Cowgirls struggled to get anything going offensively in the first game, as they were unable to reach base. Cowgirls' pitcher, Arianna Ramirez, threw a solid game, allowing only 3 runs on 6 hits, but the Cowgirls' offense was unable to provide any run support.

In the second game, the Regis came out swinging and took an early lead, scoring 1 run in the first inning and another in the second.

The Cowgirls continued to battle and came within one run in the ninth inning, but the Rangers were able to hold in the top of the seventh. The Rangers' offense was led by catcher, Rachel Williams, who had 2 hits and an RBI, while the Cowgirls were led by center fielder, Samantha Gamboa, who had 2 hits and scored 2 runs.

Despite the loss, the Cowgirls showed great resilience and fought until the final out. The Rangers' pitching and defense once again proved to be the difference, as pitcher, Abby Covington, earned the win, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits.

Overall, it was a well-played doubleheader between two talented teams, with the Rangers coming out on top in both games. The Cowgirls will look to bounce back in their next matchup, while the Rangers will look to build on their momentum as the season progresses.
