Tough Road Trip in Denver

The New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls faced off against the Regis Rangers in a double header on Saturday, with the Rangers coming out on top in both games.
In the first game, the Rangers got off to a strong start, scoring a run in the first inning before adding two more in the third. The Cowgirls responded with a run in the top of the sixth, but the Rangers sealed the deal with another run in the bottom of the inning, winning the game 4-1. The Rangers finished with 4 runs on 6 hits and no errors, while the Cowgirls had 1 run on 4 hits and no errors.
In the second game, the Rangers again got off to a fast start again, scoring three runs in the first inning. They added another run in the second and one more in the fourth, while the Cowgirls managed to score two runs in the top of the sixth. Despite the Cowgirls' efforts to mount a comeback, the Rangers held on for a 5-2 victory. The Rangers finished with 5 runs on 8 hits and no errors, while the Cowgirls had 2 runs on 4 hits and 1 error.
While the Cowgirls put up a good fight, they were ultimately unable to overcome the Rangers' strong performances in both games. The Rangers' pitching and hitting were on point, allowing them to maintain control and take home the victories. The Cowgirls will need to regroup and refocus as they prepare for their next game.
