The New Mexico Highlands University soccer team is back on the road Thursday evening as they travel to Alva, Oklahoma, to face Northwestern Oklahoma State. Match time between the Cowgirls and Rangers is set for 5:00 pm (MT).
Thursday's match marks the second meeting all-time between the two programs. The Rangers topped NMHU 4-0 in Las Vegas last September.
The Cowgirls are 0-2-0 on the young season having dropped road matches at Eastern New Mexico and Lubbock Christian last week.
Northwestern Oklahoma State, members of the Great American Conference (GAC), is 1-2-1 in 2023. In their last outing, the Rangers battled Northeastern State to a 0-0 draw. Alex Piekarski is in his fourth season as Head Coach at NWOSU.
After Thursday's match in Alva, the Cowgirls head to Bethany, Oklahoma, to face Southern Nazarene University. Match time on Saturday is scheduled for 12:00 pm (MT).
The Cowgirls open the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) and play their 2023 home opener on Friday, September 22nd, in a 3:00 pm match.
