New Mexico Highlands women's cross country team notched a top ten finish Friday afternoon at the Southern Stampede hosted by Missouri Southern State in Joplin, Missouri.
The Cowgirls finished 10th in a field that featured teams from the several of the top NCAA II conferences in the nations. The Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin is the site of the NCAA Division II Championships in November.
"We raced extremely well in both races," said Coach
