Las Vegas, New Mexico – The Cowgirls dropped a 3-0 decision to Fort Lewis on Friday night in the Wilson Complex. With the loss NMHU is now 4-13 overall and 2-5 in conference play. The loss to Fort Lewis was the second this month as the Skyhawks defeated NMHU in RMAC Pod play on October 5th.
Fort Lewis out hit the Cowgirls .261 to .073 in the match.
Jaylee Gonzales had 10 kills to lead the Cowgirls.
Meg Pfannerstill added 10 digs.
"I am disappointed in our effort tonight," said Head Coach
Meg Grose. "Give Fort Lewis credit, they came in and swept us in our own building. Hopefully we are focused and ready to play tomorrow against a good Western Colorado team."
NMHU is back in action tomorrow at 3:00 pm when Western Colorado visits Las Vegas. The Cowgirls will host a Free Kids Clinic after Saturday's match that is open to participants aged 5 to 13 after the match.
