Spearfish, South Dakota - NMHU dropped a 3-1 decision at Black Hills State on Saturday morning to wrap up their swing through South Dakota. The Cowgirls are now 4-16 overall and 2-8 in the RMAC.
Despite playing close sets on Saturday the Cowgirls came up short against the host Yellow Jackets losing 25-18, 25-21, 26-24, 25-23. Black Hills out hit the Cowgirls .247 to .211 in the match.
Jaylee Gonzales tied a career high with 18 kills in the match.
Defensively,
Aziza Morris led NMHU with five blocks and
Nicole Shaver had a career high 18 digs.
Up next the Cowgirls are in Gunnison next weekend for RMAC Power Pod matches with Black Hills State and Western Colorado.
