Cowgirls Drop Two Games To MSU-Denver On Sunday

Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls dropped both ends of Sunday's double header to visiting MSU-Denver, dropping the opener 8-2 and game two 5-1. NMHU is now 5-8 overall and 1-7 in the RMAC. The Roadrunners are 13-5 overall and 8-0 in conference play.

After the Cowgirls took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, MSU-Denver took command of Sunday's first game scoring four runs in the second and adding another in the third en route to the victory. Arianna Ramirez had a big game at the plate going three for four and collecting both of the NMHU RBI.

The visitors jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the day's second game before the Cowgirls tallied their lone run in the bottom of the sixth. MSU-Denver pitching limited NMHU to just three hits in the game.

The Cowgirls are back on the road next weekend heading to Golden for a weekend series with the Colorado School of Mines.
