Edmond, Oklahoma - The Cowboys dropped the final game of the Edmond First Pitch Classic Sunday afternoon 17-5 to Central Oklahoma.
Central Oklahoma struck first on Sunday scoring a run in the bottom of the first. They would add four in the third before the Cowboys got on the board in the top of the fourth courtesy of a home run to right by
Jadrian Martinez. NMHU added a run in the fifth and three in the top of the sixth, but it was not enough to hold off the host Bronchos.
NMHU pitchers combined for nine strikeouts on Sunday afternoon, bringing their RMAC leading total to 35.
The Cowboys head back to Oklahoma for four games with Oklahoma Baptist beginning on Thursday.
