Seminole, Oklahoma - The Cowboys lost both ends of today's double header with Oklahoma Baptist, falling 10-7 in the opener and 7-5 in the nightcap.
In the opener, the Cowboys came out slugging and sent nine batters to the plate, and scored five runs in the first inning. They would add two more runs in the seventh but fell 10-7.
Once again, in the nightcap, NMHU jumped out in front scoring four runs in the third and another run in the fourth to take a 5-0 lead. After OBU took the lead in the sixth inning, the Cowboys brought the tying run to the plate but could not push the runs across.
Carlos Chavez had a big date at the plate for the Cowboys going five for six, with a double, triple and two RBI.
Benito Martinez went three for seven and scored two runs.
The series finale is set for 12:00 pm (MT) tomorrow afternoon from Seminole, OK.
