Portales, NM- The Cowboys wrapped up their two game series with in state foe Eastern New Mexico today. The Cowboys had offensive burst that ultimately fell short.
Eastern New Mexico jumped out to a quick start putting up a crooked number in the score colum for five straight innings. Then in the 6th the Cowboys got offensive life with a pair of back to back RBI's by
Jadrian Martinez and Lubby Marrjuo scratched across three runs. The Cowboys pitching then held the Greyhounds to no runs the rest of the game and the offense would get one last push scoring three more in the 8th but in the end it was not enough and the Cowboys would fall.
The Cowboys are back in action for their first homestead of the season to open RMAC play with the Thunderwolves of Colorado State University-Pueblo for Community Weekend prestend by Quality Care. Series begins March 15th at 3 PM MST.
