Cowboys Open RMAC Play with a Win

Albequerque, New Mexico - The Cowboys baseball team traveled two hours south to take on the Colorado State University-Pueblo Thunderwolves where they would split the double headers today.Due to weather the games were moved to University of New Mexico's Santa Anna Star Field.


Game 1: The Cowboys jumped out to an early lead with a Carlos Chavez solo shot.Then the cowboys added another run in the second inning and had a huge 4th inning putting up 7 runs and adding 3 more in the 8th and the Cowboys came away victorious 13-3.

Game 2: In game 2 of the day the way things went were a bipolar opposite compared to the first game. This time the Thunderwolves jumped out to an early lead and never looked back the Thunderwolves would win 9-1. The lone cowboy run being a Taiga Sato sac fly in the 6th.

The Cowboys are back in action tomorrow at Noon against the Thunderwolves for a double header to close out the series at Santa Anna Star Field in Albequrque.
