Las Vegas, New Mexico - New Mexico Highlands Track and Field is in Grand Junction for the 2024 RMAC Outdoor Championship this Friday through Sunday. The Cowgirls, ranked 21st in the most recent NCAA Division II poll released by the USTFCCCA, have 14 athletes entered in events this weekend.
Heading into this weekend's conference championships, NMHU has secured seven NCAA provisional qualifying marks. The NCAA Division II National Championships are May 23-25 in Emporia, Kansas.
After last week's meet in Albuquerque, head coach
Bob DeVries commented on the team's readiness heading to Grand Junction. "All the season and personal bests heading to the conference championship show what an outstanding job our coaches and athletes are doing sticking with the plan. I'm very proud of our group and thankful I have great people like coaches Russell, Dunbar, Hemmings and Collins directing their training."
Live results from Grand Junction are available
here. Additionally, all track and field action will be broadcast live on the
RMAC Network behind a paywall. Day passes for the event can be purchased for $9.95, while the Championship pass, full weekend access, is available for purchase at $25.00.
