Denver, Colorado - The Cowboys and Roadrunners combined for 40 runs on Saturday with MSU-Denver taking a 26-14 win.
The Cowboys jumped out to a 12-0 lead scoring five in the first, two in the second and another five in the third. MSU-Denver blew it wide open with 14 runs in their half of the fourth.
Alan Salas had a grand slam in the first inning and was two for three with two runs scored and five RBI on the day.
Gael Bernal was two for four with two RBI,
Tucker Simpson went one for three with a two run homer in the third.
Richie Amavizca homered in the fifth inning.
With the loss, the Cowboys are now 7-25 overall and 3-11 in the RMAC.
The series concludes on Sunday with a doubleheader starting at 11:00 am.
