Las Vegas, New Mexico - The nationally ranked Colorado Christian softball team defeated the Cowgirls twice on Sunday handing them an 8-0 defeat in game one and 14-3 in the second game of the afternoon.
In the first game the Cougars limited NMHU to just one hit, a single off the bat of
Alessandra De La Trinidad in the bottom of the third inning.
Carlee Gonzalez was one for three with two RBI and
Karla Banegas went one for two with an RBI to account for the NMHU offense in the day's second contest.
The Cowgirls are now 11-24 overall and 7-23 in the RMAC.
Up next, NMHU makes its longest road trip of the season as they head to Chadron, Nebraska, next weekend for four games with Chadron State.
