Grand Junction, Colorado - The Cowboys were unable to pick-up their first RMAC win of the season falling at Colorado Mesa 89-77 on Thursday night. NMHU is now 7-6 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
The Cowboys started strong on Thursday leading by five, 45-40, at the half. NMHU led 67-61 after Danile Rosenber drained a three pointer at the 10:09 mark of the second half. The shooting went cold from there for NMHU as they did not make a field goal in the final 7:13 of the contest.
Ja'Kwon Hill logged a double-double with career highs in points (16) and rebounds (11).
Kenard Richardson led the Cowboys with 17 points while
Daniel Rosenber had 14 points and
Blessin Kimble added 11 points.
Kyrie Thomas handed out seven assists.
The Cowboys shot 41.3% from the floor and 78.9% from the free throw line.
NMHU heads to Gunnison for a 3:00 pm game with Western Colorado on Saturday.
