Las Vegas, New Mexico - The Cowgirls step out of conference on Monday night for a match in Portales against Eastern New Mexico. First serve is set for 6:00 pm.
NMHU HEAD COACH:
Meg Grose is in her second season at New Mexico HIghlands. She earned her first win as the head coach of the Cowgirls over Sul Ross State on September 13th and her first conference win against Adams State on September 20th, 2024. She was previously the head coach at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.
LAST TIME OUT: NMHU swept Regis and Chadron State this past weekend to improve to 7-9 overall and 2-4 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Ariana Jamerson recorded 25 kills in the matches to pace the Cowgirls offensively.
Marissa Sandoval-Moya added 36 assists and 13 digs.
After the match Saturday, head coach
Meg Grose commented, "Total team win tonight! We are rolling and clicking on all aspects right now. It's exciting to win two in a row at home in conference. The girls are ready for the week ahead and going to Eastern New Mexico to kick off the week!"
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS: Eastern New Mexico is 3-13 overall and 1-5 in Lone Star Conference play. This is the second meeting of the season between the two teams with NMHU taking a 3-1 decision from the Greyhounds in the opening weekend of the season at Western New Mexico's Mustang Invitational. Karli Bustos is in her first season leading the ENMU program.
