Las Vegas, New Mexico – The Cowboys rolled past Cameron 83–70 on Thursday night, extending their winning streak to three games. The victory improved NMHU's record to 4–9, while Cameron fell to 4–8 on the season.
Cameron jumped out to an early lead, building a nine-point advantage in the first half as the Cowboys struggled from the floor, hitting just 12 of 31 shots. NMHU turned things around late in the half, closing on a 13–4 run over the final five minutes to tie the game at 33–33 heading to the locker room.
The second half belonged to the Cowboys, who outscored Cameron 50–37 after the break. NMHU caught fire from the floor, missing just six shots over the final 20 minutes while shooting 16-of-22 (72.7%) to pull away for the win.
"Coach prepared us well," said
Nikk Williams after the win on the RMAC Network. "We're together more than we ever have been, we're excited right now."
Once again, the Cowboys used a balanced scoring attack, placing four players in double figures.
Ramiah Adedigba led the way with a season-high 19 points, while
Ibrahima Sacko chipped in 15.
Nikk Williams added 11, and
Caileb Parham finished with 10.
The Cowboys won the battle of the boards, out rebounding Cameron 34–25, led by a career-high 10 rebounds from
Wesley Isoje.
Next up for NMHU is a 3:00 pm non-conference game against Colorado Christian in the Wilson Complex on Saturday.
