Las Vegas, New Mexico - Colorado Christian swept the Cowgirls 10-0 and 16-2 on Saturday in the RMAC opener for both teams. NMHU is now 6-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
The visiting Cougars got on the board early, scoring three runs in the top half of the first. They added a run in the fourth and three runs in the third and fourth innings to put the game out of reach.

Heaven Medina recorded hits for NMHU.
The day's second game saw NMHU take a 2-1 lead after the first inning after Shalene Saladin tripled to drive in
Dioni Lincoln. Two batters later Saladin scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of
Cheyenne Ben. The visitors put together a big inning in the sixth inning to put the game away.
The two teams will play a double header on Saturday. Game one is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am.
