Las Vegas, New Mexico - Visiting Colorado Christian closed out the weekend series by taking a pair of games from New Mexico highlands on Saturday by the scores of 13-0 and 10-0. The Cowgirls are now 6-8 overall and 0-4 in RMAC play.
After a scoreless first inning, Colorado Christian pushed across runs in the next four innings to close out the Cowgirls after five innings of play. Cheynne Ben,
Kaylee Rodriguez, and Allesandr DeLaTrinidad each record hits for NMHU.
Game two played out in similar fashion with the visitors scoring in every inning except the first.
Alessandra DeLaTrinidad logged the lone hit of the game for the Cowgirls.
The Cowgirls are at Chadron State next weekend for doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday with first pitch at 12:00 pm on Saturday and 11:00 am on Sunday.
