Rapid City, South Dakota - The Cowboys used a balance scoring attack to run past South Dakota Mines 66-55 on Thursday night. With the win, NMHU is 12-15 overall and 5-14 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Four Cowboys scored in double figures led by
Nathan Hasberry and
Kenard Richardson who each scored 14 points.
Blessin Kimble added 13 points while
Ja'Kwon Hill chipped in with 11 points.
KJ LaMonte grabbed a career high nine rebounds.
The Cowboys led for all but the first 2:24 of Thursday night's game as they took their first lead on a
Kenard Richardson three pointer to go up 5-3. That lead was extended to 37-30 at the half.
The second half saw NMHU push that lead to as many as 13 points down the stretch as they won for the fifth time this season away from home.
NMHU will close out the 2024-25 campaign Saturday afternoon at Black Hills State in a 3:00 pm contest.
