Alamosa, Colorado - Adams State used a strong second half to defeat the Cowboys 104-92 on Thursday night. The loss drops the Cowboys record to 9-13 overall and 1-12 in conference play.
The Cowboys led for the first ten and a half minutes of the game on Thursday night. The two teams would go back and forth for the rest of the half before the Grizzlies grabbed a 44-43 lead at the break. The hosts shot a blistering 62% from the floor as they outscored the Cowboys 60-49 in the second half.
Nathan Hasberry had the hot hand for the Cowboys as he poured in a career high 30 points, shooting 10-14 from the floor, three of four from beyond the arc, and seven of eight from the free throw line.
Blessin Kimble (18 points) and
Kyrie Thomas (12 points) were also in double figures for the Cowboys.
NMHU was 52% from the floor and 71% from the free throw line.
Adams State out rebounded the Cowboys 36-29.
The Cowboys return home this Saturday afternoon as they welcome Fort Lewis to historic Las Vegas. Tip-off is set for 2:00pm.
