Indianapolis, Indiana - The NCAA announced the qualifiers for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships this afternoon. New Mexico Highlands will send five athletes to compete in four individual events and a relay in Pueblo, Colorado, later this month.
The NMHU 4x100 relay team of
Rujeko Munetsi,
Ashley Barrett,
Kacian Powell, and
Patreece Clarke qualified with a time of 44.33 which is the fastest time in the country this season.
Fresh off of being named Women's Outdoor Track & Field Performer of the Meet at the RMAC Championships last month,
Rojrika Campbell makes her first appearance at nationals to compete in the Triple Jump. Campbell won the RMAC with a jump of 12.35m.
For the third consecutive year, junior
Patreece Clarke qualified in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 13.41 which is the sixth fastest in this year's field.
Sophomore
Ashley Barrett will compete in the 100m and 200m Dash. She enters the championships with the second fastest time (11.25) in the 100m and the ninth fastest time (23.30) in the 200m this season.
