Las Vegas, New Mexico - New Mexico Highlands University has extended the contract of head football coach
Kurt Taufa'asau through a three-year agreement, the university announced this morning.
Taufa'asau has led the Cowboys since 2024 season. New Mexico Highlands competes at the NCAA Division II level as a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Taufa'asau guided New Mexico Highlands to a 6-5 mark in 2025 - the program's most wins since 2012 - securing its first winning season in 13 years and a 4-1 home record.

We are going to continue to compete at a high level, and represent this university with pride," Taufa'asau said.
