Chadron, NE– The Cowgirls headed north to Nebraska to face the Eagles.
 
Set one of the evening was all back and forth, Chadron State built a lead but continued to have errors allowing the Cowgirls to battle back so much so that the Cowgirls took the lead late and took set one.
 
Set two was a majority controlled by the Cowgirls allowing them to take a controlling lead and continued to control to momentum and were able to upend the Eagles in the second set to take a 2-0 lead.
 
The third set belonged to the Eagles as they were able to take the lead early and hold the lead however the Cowgirls had no quit as they battled back and tied it at 21. However, the Eagles got a momentum swing and were able to take set three to make it 2-1 set score in the match.
 
Set four Chadron State jumped out to an early lead but once again the Cowgirls battle back and were able to get the lead a pair of four-point runs gave the Eagles a lead and took control of set four. The Cowgirls rallied but it was too late and Chadron had now tied the match at two sets a piece.
 
The final set started as a big Cowgirls lead and this time it was the Eagles who chipped away at the lead and tied it at nine. The Cowgirls then hit a hot streak and took off to capture set five and secure their first conference win of the season.
 
 
UP NEXT: The Cowgirls will be back at home Tuesday to face in state rival Eastern New Mexico for the second time this season.
