Cowgirls Split Day Two

Los Lunas, New Mexico- The Cowgirls Softball faced UTPB and Sul Ross State.

 

Game 1: UTPB 10- NMHU 4

The First game of the day was against the Falcons of Texas Permian Basin. The Cowgirls are scoring with Jazmyn Griego with a two-run home run to left field. Then Jolissa Valdez continued her good weekend with a double to score and run, followed by a Greigo double to score Valdez; however, the Cowgirls would fall 10-4 to the Falcons

 

Game 2: Sul Ross State 4- NMHU 14

The second game of the day was against Sul Ross State. The Cowgirls' bats were wide awake against the Lobos. As they scored thirteen runs, Liliana Vigil German paved the way with 2 RBI's. Greigo and Valdez also knocked in some runs, continuing their good day and weekend. The Cowgirls scored 14 runs and run-ruled the Lobos.

 

COACH PUGH: This win is Coach Kali Pugh's first win as the head coach of the Cowgirls.


Up Next: The Cowgirls are back in action tomorrow as they face UTPB and instate rival Western New Mexico
