Cowgirls Fall In Season Finale

Colorado Springs, Colorado-The Cowgirls fall at UCCS in their final game of the 2025-2026 season

1st Half: UCCS 38 - NMHU 34
The Cowgirls started the game off on a 5-0 run before UCCS got their first points. However, UCCS was able to find it's groove and kept the game close, but a Brynn Hargrove three with 40 seconds left in the quarter would give the Cowgirls a two-point advantage headed to the second quarter.

The second quarter was a back-and-forth battle. As the quarter came to a close, Hargrove threw up a half-court heave, and it fell, but it would not count because a travel was called. UCCS, with one second on the clock, throws its own half-court heave, and it falls for the basket, giving it a four-point lead headed into the half.

2nd Half: UCCS 71 - NMHU 67
The third-quarter UCCS matched their 2nd-quarter points with 21 in the third, giving them the advantage heading into the fourth. UCCS out-rebounded the Cowgirls by three boards and also had two more steals than the Cowgirls. The UCCS bench had 30 points compared to the Cowgirls' bench of 11, which ultimately led to a UCCS victory by 4.

DOUBLE DIGITS:
Aniya Johnson had 18 points, and Kamalani Anitielu had 17 in the loss.
