Colorado Springs, Colorado - New Mexico Highlands placed three players on the 2026 All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Team announced today by the league office.
Kapiolani Anitielu earned Second Team All-RMAC honors, while
Aniya Johnson and
Aspen Salazar were named Honorable Mention selections.
The All-RMAC teams and awards are selected and voted on by the league's 15 head coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players.
Anitielu, last year's RMAC Freshman of the Year and a Second Team All-RMAC selection, averaged 16 points and 6.3 rebounds per game this season. She was selected as the Tournament MVP at this season's Great Western Shootout and earned RMAC Player of the Week honors on December 22.
Johnson appeared in all 27 games for the Cowgirls this season and averaged 12.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. She led the team with 16 blocked shots and recorded a pair of double-doubles.
Salazar averaged 10.6 points per game while appearing in all 27 contests this season. She led the Cowgirls with 70 assists and 49 steals and scored a season-high 23 points in New Mexico Highlands' win over South Dakota Mines.

Lindsey Fearing. "Happy to have Sugar remain on the second team for the second year in a row despite her injury! I'm thrilled to see what Sugar, Aniya, and Aspen look to accomplish in the future. The future is bright for New Mexico Highlands University Women's Basketball."
The Cowgirls finished the 2025-26 season with a 13-14 overall record and a 9-11 mark in RMAC play. They also posted an 8-4 record at home in the Wilson Complex.
