Alamosa, Colorado - Adams State used a big second half to deal the Cowboys a 92–79 defeat Tuesday night at Plachy Hall. The loss dropped New Mexico Highlands to 9-15 overall and 7-6 in RMAC play, while the Grizzlies improved to 14-7 overall and 8-5 in the conference.
The game was tight at halftime, with Adams State holding a 37-34 edge after New Mexico Highlands finished the opening half on a 6-0 run in the final 1:11. The Grizzlies then shot 58.6 percent from the floor in the second half, scoring 55 points, including 6-for-13 from three-point range.
BJ Comer led the Cowboys with a career-high 15 points, while
Ramiah Adedigba finished with 12.
Trey Tate was perfect from the floor and added 10 points.
Wesley Isoje pulled down a game-high nine rebounds, though Adams State held a slight edge on the glass, 38-36.
