Cowboys Fall in Game One in Emporia

Emporia,Kansas - New Mexico Highlands Cowboys were on the road taking on the Emporia State Hornets.

Game 1: Emporia State (ESU)15, NHMU 0

The Cowboys played their first game in Emporia, Kansas, today against the Hornets.

The Hornets scored the first run in the first inning, and after that, Ramon Brion ended up going five total innings and didn't give up another run until the third inning. Making it a 2-0 lead.

The Hornets pitcher kept the Cowboys hitters off balance, allowing only three hits.

The Hornets then scored 13 more runs with four in the 5th and nine in the 6th. To give them the victory in the first game of the series.

Up Next: The Cowboys are back in action for a double header against Emporia State tomorrow.
