Colorado Springs, Colorado - New Mexico Highlands right-hander Andrew Baltazar has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.
Baltazar earns the honor following a dominant complete-game shutout performance against Adams State on April 17. The senior tossed all 7.0 innings, allowing just three hits while holding the visiting Grizzlies scoreless.
Baltazar is the first New Mexico Highlands pitcher to receive RMAC Pitcher of the Week honors since Andrew Rodriguez on May 7, 2024.
New Mexico Highlands returns to action on Friday, opening an RMAC series against Regis University at 3:00 pm in historic Las Vegas. The series carries postseason implications, as the Cowboys and Rangers enter the weekend in a four-way tie for the final conference playoff spot.
