The NMHU Cowboys have cracked the top 10 ranking for the first time in NMHU History. With less than a month left in the season the Cowboys are currently ranked ninth in the nation by the
National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association DII Top 25 poll. The Cowboys are now 25-6 on the season and 15-3 in RMAC play. The Cowboys have not lost an RMAC series yet this season as they have fell to RMAC opponents just three times this season. The Cowboys are also nationally ranked in the other two major national polls. The Cowboys are ranked 14th in the
Collegiate Baseball Newspaper DII Top 30 poll and 16th in the
PING! Baseball DII Top 30 poll.
The Cowboys head into their sixth RMAC series of the year as they take on the Regis Rangers (13-16; 9-11 RMAC) in a four game RMAC series. The Cowboys lead the RMAC in many statistical categories this season, most notably Batting Average (.391), On Base Percentage (.465), Runs Scored (359) and Doubles (88).
