Colorado Springs, Colorado - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released the 2026Â All-Academic Baseball Team on Monday afternoon, with New Mexico Highlands shortstop
Lubby Marrujo earning First Team All-Academic honors for the second consecutive season. Additionally, four Cowboys were named to the RMAC Honor Roll.
A Las Vegas, New Mexico native, Marrujo started 48 games at shortstop for the Cowboys this season. He ranked sixth in the RMAC with 134 assists and tied for eighth in the conference with 24 double plays turned. At the plate, Marrujo hit a career-best .358 and led the Cowboys with 57 hits. He appeared in 194 games during his career at New Mexico Highlands.
Marrujo also maintained a perfect 4.00 grade point average while working toward his MBA.
Cowboys named to the RMAC Baseball Honor Roll included Taiga Sato (3.93 GPA, MBA), Tony Leger (3.93 GPA, Wildlife Biology & Conservation), Ramon Brion (3.39 GPA, History), and Matt Board (3.33 GPA, Human Performance & Sport).
