The NMHU Cowboys started off their series with the Rangers of Regis University with a bang on 4/21 as the Cowboys defeated the Rangers 7-1.
Trent Evins would hold the Rangers to one run en route to the Cowboys victory. With the win the Cowboys improve to 17-20 on the season and 11-17 in RMAC play.
Offensively the Cowboys would finish the day with a .343 team batting average. The Cowboys would add in one triple to their offensive numbers for the game.

A.J. Alexander and
Jarod Robinette would finish the day leading the Cowboys offensively. Scott would lead the Cowboys as he finished 4-5 with three runs scored and the Cowboys lone triple of the game. Alexander would finish the day 2-4 with one run scored. Robinette would round out the top three for the Cowboys going 2-3 with one run scored and two RBI's.
Trent Evins (3-6) would get his third win of the season on the mound for the Cowboys with a lights out complete game performance. Evins would allow just one run on nine hits and record a season high 14 strikeouts in nine innings pitched. Today's win would be Evins' first complete game of the season.
The Cowboys will look to continue their winning ways on 4/22 when they take on Regis University for games two and three of their four game series. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. in Denver, Colo.
