The NMHU Cowboys earned their 24th win of the season as they dropped the Orediggers of the Colorado School of Mines 8-5 on 4/13 in Las Vegas, N.M. The Cowboys took an early lead over the Orediggers as they would score three runs over the first three innings of play to take a 3-0 lead going into the fourth inning. CSM would score two runs in the fourth to make the score 3-2, but the Cowboys quickly answered back by scoring two runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth inning to regain their three run advantage 5-2. The Cowboys piled it on in the fifth and sixth inning scoring three runs to make 8-2. The Orediggers showed a spark of life in the ninth inning scoring three runs to make it 8-5, but that would be as close as they would get to the Cowboys.
