The story of the first game of Saturday's double-header was Greg Hansen dealing a three-hit performance from the mound for the Cowboys.  Hansen threw the complete seven innings, only allowing one run and striking out three.

The Cowboys scored in the top of the first inning when Josh McMahon was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, allowing Jordan Goliat to cross home plate.

The Wildcats tied the game up 1-1 off an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning, but Hansen would see to it that they would not score again.

The Pokes picked up two more runs in the second inning, extending their lead to 3-1.  Neither team scored in the third inning, but the Cowboys' offense was on a roll for the remainder of the game.

Jordan Goliat hit an RBI single in the top of the fourth inning and Jarred Middleton followed that up in the top of the fifth with a two-RBI single.

The Pokes picked up three more runs in the sixth inning.  Matt Gualco brought two runs across the plate with his double to right-center field and Javier Ledford had an RBI single, giving the Cowboys a 9-1 advantage.

The Pokes added another two runs in the top of the seventh inning and Greg Hansen (1-1) cleaned up the bottom of the seventh to get the win for the Cowboys.

The Wildcat's pitching staff took note of Hansen's performance and put on a clinic of their own in the second game of Saturday's double header, shutting down the Cowboys' offense in seven innings.

ACU's starting pitcher Carter Hahn allowed six hits, but didn't let the Cowboys score in his five and a third innings on the mound.  Hahn struck out six Cowboys and walked two.

The Pokes struggled at the plate in Saturday's second game.  They came up with six hits, but were unable to score.
