Las Vegas, N.M. – The NMHU Cowboys are playing their final home series of the season on Apr. 26-28 against the Colorado State University of Pueblo Thunderwolves. The first game is Friday at 3:00 p.m. and the games on Saturday and Sunday are at 12:00 p.m.
On Sunday before the game, the Cowboys will honor their seniors with the traditional Senior Day ceremony. The Cowboys recognized on Sunday will be

Scott Frazier plays infield for the Cowboys. This season Frazier has earned a .304 batting average, with 21 hits and eight RBIs in 28 games played.
Jordan Falcon has played two years with the Cowboys and played in 81 games. The Tacoma, Wash. native assisted the Cowboys with 21 runs, 24 hits, eight RBIs and hit for a .312 batting average this season.
Jarod Jamerson has had a successful season with the Cowboys. The Brentwood, Calif. native has a .339 batting average, with 13 runs, 20 hits, and 14 RBIs in his 27 games played this season.
Cory Falvey is an El Paso, Texas native. Participating in 2013 as a Cowboy, Falvey has earned an outstanding .390 batting average with 17 RBIs, 30 hits, six doubles, one triple, and one homerun. Falvey is first in batting average and slugging percentage (.532) among current Cowboy players.
In 2012
Chris Prokupek earned a spot on the RMAC Baseball Championship All-Tournament Team. This season the pitcher out of Crescent City, Calif. has an ERA of 5.35 in 10 starts. Prokupek is 6-2 as a starter.
Kyle Davis, from Albuquerque, N.M., plays outfield for the Cowboys. On the season, he has a .313 batting average, 21 runs, 30 hits, 6 doubles, two homeruns, and 23 RBIs.
Matt Gualco is a dual-threat player from Sacramento, Calif. In the 2013 season, Gualco earned a.344 batting average with 10 runs, 21 hits, six doubles and 20 RBIs in the 26 games he played. Gualco has also performed on the pitcher's mound this year as well, with a 7.71 ERA in seven appearances for the Cowboys. He has a 0-1 record with one save off the mound this season.
In 2013
Thomas Lyons has earned a .263 batting average with 10 runs, 10 hits, four doubles, and two RBIs. Hailing from Sonoma Calif., Lyons has played in 21 games this season.
Chris Pile is a senior from Angels Camp, Calif. This season Pile has a batting average of .280, with 17 runs, 14 hits, four doubles, two homeruns, and eight RBIs.
Oscar Almeida has been the one of the Cowboys best pitchers this season. Almeida was recognized as NCBWA 2013 Preseason South Central Region First Team. He leads the Cowboys in ERA (2.76), strikeouts (53), and saves (5). After going perfect in 2012 with a 4-0 record, this season Almieda is 5-1. He only has one loss in his Cowboy career.
Gavin Hite is a right-handed pitcher from Auburn, Wash. In 2013 Hite is 1-0, with a 6.60 ERA and one save.
Derek Ward is playing his second year as a Cowboy. The native out of Redding Calif. has a batting average of .337 with 16 runs scored, 30 hits, eight doubles, one triple, one home run, and 15 RBIs. Ward has made his present felt by becoming one of the Cowboys best hitters.
Ray Torres is a Redwood City, Calif. native finishing his second year as a Cowboy pitcher. In the 2013 season, Torres has pitched 59 innings, and has obtained a 4.58 ERA. His record this season is 3-3.
Antonio Huez-Robles is a right-handed relief pitcher for the Cowboys. Hailing from Hermosillo, Mexico, Robles has been with the Cowboys since the 2011 season. This year he has made five appearances for the Pokes.
Josh McMahon is part of NCBWA 2013 Preseason South Central Region First Team, and rightfully so. As one of the best hitters on the Cowboys, McMahon leads the team in RBIs (29), and homeruns (3). McMahon is also recognized as the most reliable Cowboy by playing the most games (40) of any Cowboy currently playing. His batting average is .325 with 19 runs, 40 hits, and six doubles.
Edgar Vela is a left-handed pitcher from El Paso, Texas. This season Vela has made 10 appearances from the bullpen and one start for the Cowboys. He is 0-1 this season with an 11.57 ERA and one strikeout.
This will be the Cowboys' final home series this season. They face off against the Colorado State University – Pueblo Thunderwolves in a battle for the top spot in the RMAC Plains Division. The Cowboys swept the Thunderwolves earlier this season in Pueblo, Colo. Head Coach
