LAS VEGAS, N.M. – The New Mexico Highlands baseball team (1-2) renew their annual rivalry against the only other NCAA Division II baseball team in the "Land of Enchantment" Friday (Feb. 13) when Eastern New Mexico (2-1) visits Las Vegas for a four-game series.
Presenting America One New this year, the majority of home baseball games will be brought to you live on America One by visiting
here. Each game will cost eight dollars. A 30-day pass for baseball will cost 30 dollars and an entire season costs $90.
Included in the pass is every New Mexico Highlands away conference baseball game that is broadcasted by the home team.
Tickets and Parking Announced this week by the New Mexico Highlands athletic department, all baseball and softball games will have free admission!
However, the gate located directly next to the football field house will be locked. To enter the fields, you must go through the gate located near the John A. Wilson Complex. All fans are encouraged to park in the Wilson Complex parking lot.
Scouting New Mexico Highlands Through three games, the Cowboys have put up 42 runs (14 runs per game). However, they surrendered 43 (14.3 runs per game) in a series loss at Lubbock Christian.
The Cowboys easily lead the conference with a .381 batting average, but is last with a 14.91 ERA. Through the first 20.1 innings against Lubbock Christian, they surrendered 43 innings. Senior
Anthony Badalucco then stepped to the mound and picked up the save by retiring the final 11 batters by allowing only two walks while striking out five. It was his second career save as he allowed only one walk in an inning of work last season against Metropolitan State University on March 14, 2014.
Seven players hit better than .333 for the season, including a pair who are batting better than .500. Senior
Joe Cervantes hit a grand slam Saturday, nearly one year to the day that former Cowboy
Jordan Goliat hit the last Highlands grand slam. Ironically, Lubbock Christian gave up both grand slams.

Colby Wilmer leads the team with a .583 average with seven hits in 12 at-bats with eight RBIs, three runs and a pair of doubles.
Scouting Eastern New Mexico Eastern New Mexico (2-1) will be playing its first road series of the season this weekend, having won a three game series at home against Adams State last weekend. While the Cowboys salvaged a game in the final contest against Lubbock Christian last weekend, the Zias won the first two games before dropping the third against Adams State.
Eastern New Mexico scored 29 runs last weekend.
The Zias are hitting .337 as a team while holding a 2.88 ERA. Cody Pope leads the team and is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA, allowing two runs (no earned) and five hits in five innings of work.
Seven Eastern New Mexico players hit better than .350 for the season, led by Dylan Nault's four hits in seven at-bats. Blake Cooper has four hits in 10 at-bats. 3-of-4 four hits have been for extra bases as he has a pair of home runs and a triple.
Next Up The Cowboys finish up non-conference play next weekend when they welcome in West Texas A&M for a three game series Feb. 20-21.
