LAS VEGAS, N.M. – The New Mexico Highlands Cowboys baseball team (7-7, 1-3 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) looks to overcome a series loss last week to CSU-Pueblo when Regis (5-9, 1-5 RMAC) comes to Las Vegas for a four game set this weekend (March 13-15).
Game time is 3 p.m. for a nine-inning contest Friday, two seven-inning contests Saturday at noon and a nine-inning game Sunday at noon. Live statistics will be available

Fifth-year senior
Matthew Chavez, who had his hitting streak ended last weekend, has dipped to ONLY .500 for the season and is leading the team in hits (25) doubles (seven) and RBI's (14). Senior
Joe Cervantes is batting .383 with 18 hits and 13 RBI's.
Senior
Anthony Badalucco is only 1-2 in 2015, but holds a team-leading 4.74 ERA with a save in 19 innings pitched. Redshirt freshman
Curtis Hynes is 3-1 in 20.2 innings pitched.
No one has a lofty average like Chavez, but five Regis players average better than .340. Ty Overboe leads the way with a .396 average. Logan Knox is batting .357 with a team-leading 20 hits, including eight doubles. Nick DiPaola leads the team on the mound with a 2.89 ERA and a 1-2 record with three starts in four appearances.
The Cowboys open up Mountain Division play next weekend with a trip to Grand Junction, Colorado, to take on nationally-ranked Colorado Mesa starting next Friday (March 20).
