Cowgirls Played Hard Against nationally ranked team

The first night of homecoming weekend NMHU Cowgirls took on #25 UCCS Cougars (1-2)

It was a tough night for our girls but they played hard and put up a good fight.

Only 2 minutes into the 1^st half UCCS' #10 Michaela Mansfield made a goal with an assist from #7 Lo Vyvlecka. UCCS managed 10 shots the 1^st half but NMHU's Ashlyn Bruin was able to save or block the shots. NMHU only had 5 shots in the first half. The Cowgirls went into halftime down 1-0.

2^nd half UCCS' #10 Michaela Mansfield score an unassisted goal. 2^nd half Cowgirls picked up their game. In the 78th minute junior Mallory Bostic made a goal off a penalty kick. Despite controlling the speed and pressure of the game in the last 25 minutes, the Cowgirls were not able to net the equalizer.
